World-Famous Fishing

If you're serious about your sport fishing, then fishing in Kitimat is what you're after. You depart the dock at MK Bay Marina and cruise out to the limits of the Douglas Channel and into the Inside Passage, where world-class salmon and halibut are biting. The size and power of species like the Chinook salmon will give you an exciting challenge to reel in. These are the trips that create memories to share for years to come.

We offer 4, 6, and 9-hour fishing charters, as well as overnight trips, on the Douglas Channel. Every trip is designed for comfort and unforgettable experiences.

Plan a Trip of a Lifetime

Geographically, the Douglas Channel is a stunning fjord on the North Coast of British Columbia and stretches from Kitimat to the Inside Passage and then meets the Pacific Ocean. Kitimat is the gateway to this diverse stretch of water and the ideal destination for those seeking excellent fishing opportunities.

In these waters, anglers will find a multitude of fish: halibut, salmon and bottom fish, like lingcod and rockfish. The fish are fresh and plentiful, and healthy, thanks to the mix of deep ocean tides and fresh mountain runoff. If world-class fishing is what you want, then Kitimat is where you want to be. Blue Heron Charters is your guide for this go-to destination.

The Blue Heron is prepped and has all the amenities to take you out on the ocean in comfort and style.
